And the new album by Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta aka Lady Gaga is called Joanne, a reference to the real "woman" behind the artistic name of the performer, who through out the record seems to be driven by the desire of leaving the mascara after 5 records, Gaga is trying hard to reveal herself as a true worth artists rather than as a pop sensation, her album in collaboration with the great Tony Bennett is also another example of thise, but Joanne is not exactly the type of "declaration of war" Germanotta would wish it to be, there is still the Madonna rip off in the form of Perfect Illusion (remember Papa Don´t Preach?), and the album features a lot of "glitter beat" and heavy guitars thanks to Queens of the Stone Age main man Josh Homme, who helps the recording get really messy, despite a monumental pair of legs, Lady Gaga is still a pop phenomenon, but an embarassing act when she tries to get serious, clumsily exposing his affection for people like Patti Smith, Stevie Nicks and Courtney Love, but ultimately sounding like a mere Annie Lennox clone...
