The Trump Ship Keeps Going Down, Despite Surviving the Debate

Honestly, I didn’t expected d a lot coming out form this debate, the first one just confirmed the thoughts I have about each of the candidates and that I have expressed here several times, I must add that I was expecting something unusual about Trump, perhaps looking him as a better contender, considering that he was supposed to be “trained” by British lame bigot Nigel Farage, but that didn’t showed up, Trump was as unarticulated as ever, and perhaps thanks to Farage lame influence, he turned out the debate into a very sad event, out of proportions and without any respect or intellectual relevance.

Trump came to the debate diminished, the “sex assault talk” tape was real blow to his campaign, prompting several Republican members to abandon the “Trump ship”, it was a pure strike of luck that the format of the debate favored him, it was prone to showmanship, and Donald, a showman himself used that obviously to his favor, on the other side Clinton wasn’t consistent, in a box match you look to the knock out you rival and let no doubt of who the winner is, you don’t look for a technical decision, unfortunately, Clinton decided to keep her temper and wait for a golden chance, like on last debate, but that chance window never came so clearly for her, perhaps she didn’t wanted that, considering that the collapse of Trump´s campaign could open the possibility of an emergency candidate coming from the Republican Party was obviously something that could bring up uncertainty on Clinton´s campaign.

But that storm is already affecting “Trump´s ship”, and is not going away, the man has been carrying scandal after scandal on a daily basis, his proposals are revealed as what they really are, just hot air that is quickly going away, physically he out staged Clinton, and it wasn’t a surprise, he lied, as it was expected about taxes, (the USA is not the country with the highest taxes in the world), about Syria (Assad and Russia are not fighting Isis, they are fighting Syrian rebels who look to dethrone Assad) and also made gruesome remarks about Clinton, even threaten to put her in jail, something that again reveals Trump´s authoritarian DNA, and total disregard of politics, just imagine the most powerful nation in the world under Trump´s sense of law, any opposition to him, should be behind the bars.

The fact that republicans are starting to abandon Trump´s campaign points to the fact that the Republican Party is looking forward to regroup and start conceiving a strategy to keep hold of the Senate and the Congress, if they are about to lose the presidency, they are not going to let those two points of influence escape form their hands, and that would be a very wise move, thinking about debunking Trump´s awful campaign would be a complete “political suicide”, but at this point is hard to tell which one is worst, pulling the plug on Donald, or letting him getting even dirtiest.

Yesterday´s debate was a very dark and gloomy one, it exposes the sad situation the USA is going though at this moment, not economically speaking of course, but politically, democratically and the most important one, emotionally, a country that is divided, polarized, and that such polarization could mean paralysis, lack of consensus and lack of mobility, Spain could give us all a lesson on that, a political debate that should have been an example of dialogue, ideas exchange, a showroom of proposals ended up becoming a personal attack show, and that goes to expose the quality and level of politics USA is actually having.

This debate was not about Trump winning or not, it was about Trump been finished or not, and he wasn´t, so if in the end Hillary Clinton won, it was a pyrrhic victory, as Trump came out alive, in the case of Trump, it was a very miserable performance, taking with him the women who accused Bill Clinton of rape, this only came out as the lamest of all shows, truly grotesque, he came out like the “bully” he was expected to be, perhaps that was Clinton´s strategy from the beginning, letting him expose himself again, but it didn´t turn as good as the first time.

I have heard several voices saying that neither of the two candidates are convenient for México´s future, I would ask which USA president has been convenient for México? This is not about México, this is about the USA, this is about the best candidate FOR THE USA, if the USA is able to elect the best candidate for them, then not only México, but the rest of the world will have the chance to keep moving forward instead of reconstructing the global economy after a bad decision, Hillary is not exactly showing who the best candidate is, she is just exposing that Trump is the worst one, and that is not good, as in the end, it could all be a game someone else is playing on all of us.
