Lack of Context and Egocentric Ignorance

The over enthusiastic
response of Millennials towards Metallica's newest album, Hardwired... To Self-Destruct,
proves a major point about the current state of modern society, Millennials
consider it now as Metallica's greatest record, mainly because they never heard
Kill Em All, Ride The Lighting or Master of Puppets at their prime, they think
of Lulu as if it didn't happen simply because they don't know who Lou Reed is,
and their only reference in order to build an opinion is the awful St Anger,
lack of historical context and egocentric ignorance, those are Millennials’
sins, the same happens with Socialism, Millennials think it is the greatest
thing because they knew nothing about the USSR at its prime, the violent crush
of the Hungarian Revolution or of the Prague Spring, they prefer to think as if
Stalin and the Iron Curtain never happened and their only point of reference is
Bernie Sanders, and for the far right, they think the alt right is cool because
they don't know about Nazi Germany, they prefer to think of the Holocaust as if
it never happened and their only point of reference is Putin, again, lack of
historical context and egocentric ignorance.
