A Snow White Cold War Coming, and a Wind Of Chance In The East?

Russian announces a big amnesty that will benefit several recent opponents to the increasingly oppressive fascist regime of Dictator Vladimir Putin, Greenpeace activists recently arrested for activities in the arctic and Pussy Riot members will benefit from this, but nothing is said of other Putin opponents like Alexey Navalny, Mikhail Khodorovsky or Sergei Udalstov won’t be seeing any benefit form it, as the amnesty will come right on time for the anniversary of the Russian Constitution on December 12 (an important religious date here in Mexico), an important date on the Russian Empire, an a decisive time in this land given the fact that Putin is concentrating his war machine on the Artic, I can see in the future a big battle in the snow, just like the second Star Wars movie, just as oil industry reserves start to decay and the search for new deposits of it way under the deep sea becomes a priority, countries like Russia, Canada, US (via Alaska), Denmark (via Greenland), Iceland and Norway are starting new and ice cold race in order to claim those territories suspected to be big stores of this raw materials, more and more technical troops are mobilized into these frozen lands in order to search for those rich deposits and claim the richness lying on the arctic ocean floor, so you thought Putin just hated Greenpeace because he hates hippies’? Of course not, Putin is worried that somebody may leave him behind in this race for oil and for controlling the cold water currents, so important for the balance of the weather in the world, remember that JG Ballard novel Hello America!? Who controls those cold waters can control the world.

And also on Russia, we see how the “most powerful man in the world” not only sets his sight to the south, but to the west, as he is closing ties with Ukrainian president, Mr. Putin is not shy on his true intentions to expand his empire, and just like in the old soviet times, gaining as much satellite countries as he can in order to protect his land, Ukrainians may not be too happy about this, and their ex boxing champion Vitali Klitschko is ready to put up a big fight against current Ukrainian leader Viktor Yanukovych and his too feared friendship with Putin, Klitschko seems to have the sympathy of the people with him, and he seems to be a big threat to Yanukovych and Putin plans, as Ukraine seems to be heading towards the definite fight of its life for true democracy and western free economy.

It seems that in this freedom starving brave new world, citizens are slowly starting to gain control over the big powers, politicians are exhibited more and more as an example of corruption and wrong doings, we have citizens like boxing champ Vitali on Ukraine, and we have Yevgeny Roizman, who against all odds (and even outdoing Navalny) has won recently a place in the Russian government, being an opposition candidate Roizman is now the mayor of Yekaterinburg, Roizman known as the head of an antidrug civil organization became the dark horse in this election race as many expected Navalny to defeat Putin`s governmental apparatus, it was Roizman who claimed the victory, again a signs of citizen taking over from politicians, are we ready here in America to start giving really the power to the people? In Europe, at least, it seems to be the right direction since the time the great Lech Walesa, a one-time electrician and mechanic, and his Solidarity Union, knocked out communism in Poland and in Europe in general, or Vaclav Havel, a poet, who helped The Czech Republic transit from a soviet satellite nation into a fully developed democratic republic.
