Blowing Winds of Freedom
Winds of Freedom
The winds of freedom are starting to blow hard in all directions in this
wide world; far in Europe, we have the Ukrainian people fighting against their
government in order to get free from the influence of Russia and finally get
the chance of becoming a part of the European Union, which they believe will
open the finally window to progress and close the door of their soviet past
behind them, all this while the powerful arm of Vladimir Putin puts a strong
hold on the country government extending all his influence over Ukraine, a clue
country for him in order to achieve more power,
and a way to rehabilitate a powerful empire in the manner of the old
USSR, based on energy and underground resources, which Putin is desperately
seeking in Ukraine, in Middle East and in the Artic, Ukrainian protests come
and go, opposition doesn’t give up and fight courageously against the violent
attack of the police, once trying to solve by peaceful negotiation, but
recently restarting forceful pressure against the status quo, deceived by a
nonexistent advance in their requests.
In America, Venezuelan opposition forces confront President Nicolas
Maduro disastrous take on National Socialism, an obsolete form of government
set by deceased Hugo Chavez a charismatic leader, with little knowledge about
economy, who left a heir, Maduro, even less versed on economic matters who is
clumsily leading the Venezuelan people thru very hard times, high inflation
rates, shortages of basics, unemployment, and insecurity, making it possible to
the once weak and divided opposition to align together into a monster of two
heads, the political and willing to negotiate Enrique Capriles and the more
explosive and confrontational Leopoldo Lòpez, whose tandem could mean the end
of “chavism” and the end of Maduro`s surreal regime, violent protests erupts,
several death registered, with Maduro controlling the media and suppressing
information about the protesters, but believe me, when people are fed up with
their bad authorities, freedom is the only ending possible.
Another country with tendencies towards the left and the dangerous
populism is Argentina, experiencing this days alarming symptoms that give a
clear sign of a similar situation as the one happening in Venezuela, first, the
government in turn blaming the external markets and then absurdly punishing
“the responsible” or should I say, taking an escape goat in order to clean
their hands, it’s a matter of time for protests to take place in Argentina, but
there`s still time for Cristina Kirchner government to mend its wrong doings
and fix their bad decisions, in order to keep the country in peace.
And finally, the time may come for Cuba, once the main bastion of
leftish philosophies in America, once a symbol of peoples revolution, betrayed
by the Castro brothers, who created their own monarchy and substituted a
dictatorship with another, suppressing peoples freedom and right, and
“exporting” the revolution to other countries in America, like Venezuela and
Argentina precisely, so it won’t be long for the Castro monarchy to start
crumbling down, and here is where Mexico appears in the story, remember what
happened when the USSR came down? The powerful and ruthless KGB the oppressive
device of the soviet rule split in two parts, one created the actual Putin’s regime,
and the other turned into the black market and became the feared Russian mafia,
a powerful force that penetrated must of the Eastern Europe counties and Europe
itself, America is in danger that once Cuba government brakes apart, oppressive
functionaries may set to operate powerful mafias in America, ultimately
affecting close neighbors like Mexico, the future is not as shiny as we all
would hope for Cuba, so something must be done in order to mend the way.
And far away in Thailand, winds are just staring to blow…
