Julian Assange is a desperate narcissist, he craves for attention from the day his name became public, well, even before, he wants to seize the spotlight so much, in a way, that's what he got in the end, he lives in a small room in the British Ecuador Embassy under strict surveillance of cameras, after he asked for asylum while escaping from an arrest warrant issued by the Sweden government for sexual harassment, Assange, famous for his fight for the truth on internet, a supposed crusade against tyranny, in the blossoming era of the whistleblowers (Snowden, Manning), he commanded WikiLeaks, a website site that exhorted whistleblowers to upload stolen secret documents and revealed government's wrong doings, he became controversial after exposing documents and videos from Afghanistan and Iraq war and the USA interventions, he was seen as a hero for exposing the USA conspiratorial nature, but in the middle of all that, he somehow got lost, again; Perhaps his narcissism, perhaps he still dreams of the old leftish myth of “revolution”, he might be following that old Salvador Allende saying: “to serve not the truth, but the revolution”, but be careful when you serve the “revolution”, also remember George Orwell saying: “One makes a revolution in order to establish a dictatorship.” 

As a hacker, in his youth, Assange declared that he infiltrated USA government sites, just for the thrill of it and for the recognition, just to show his skills to the world, it was a show of pure narcissism, later he started writing an autobiographical book, I have known of people who simply disapprove their biographies written by someone else, but what about people who disapprove their own autobiography? How can you end up disapproving your own life told by yourself to someone else? I guess he realized precisely that; His life wasn't good enough for his “myth”. 

Assange rode a big wave of popularity when he was seen as a fighter for the truth and against imperialism, but to me, Assange looks like one of those double agents from the cold war, which he seems happy to see it happen all over again (although in Assange´s mind, this might be a world war between hackers from various country away from the public eye, very un-narcissistic although), it might give his life a sense, it obviously feeds his narcissism, now Assange uses his WikiLeaks website in order to attack the USA "elites" in the form of Hillary Clinton, he has announced a shamelessly media show in order to reveal in a weekly basis secret documents that are supposedly capable of hurting Clinton's campaign, the second time he acts this way, previously, at the height of the National Democratic Committee, he came out with emails uploaded on WikiLeaks by Russian hackers that exhibited a definite preference from the heads of the party for candidate Clinton over Bernie Sanders, it shook the Democratic Party, it was aimed at creating internal division, certainly hurt Clinton's campaign start. 

Ironically, Assange has turned from truth fighter into a sort of James Bond villain, the one who threatens world governments, his point might be targeting the USA establishment in the person of Hillary Clinton, the thing is, that by doing it, he might be helping Donald Trump, an American fascist, an oligarch who might be a worse threat to the world than Clinton, helping also by the way Vladimir Putin, another big fascist in his road to weaken the European Union and to acquire enough momentum to become a threat against the USA again. 

I certainly doubt Assange "noble" intentions, he is far from a democracy hero, in fact he is more of a mercenary, owner of the secrets of many nations and blackmailing them, an informatics pirate, one who is always willing to work for the ones who pay the most, if it wasn't that way, why isn't Mr.  Assange fighting against dictatorships in China, North Korea, Venezuela or Cuba, where severe censorship and human right violations take place? Why he isn’t fighting Russia, with important issues like downed airplanes in Ukraine, bombings in Syria and foreign cyber intervention in the USA elections? On the contrary, Assange seems to be working on the side of China or Russia (just like those sometime mentioned North Korea hackers) in order to weaken the USA government, to hack the USA elections and in order to help Donald Trump wreck damage on USA economy in order to allow other countries take advantage from it, you bet he is against the empire, but obviously on the payroll of another empire and that is what a mercenary does. 

Call it coincidence, but Assange is promising to hit Clinton in a deadly way with some leaked documents in October, the anniversary of the Russian Red Revolution, he seems to be helping Donald Trump, who is rumored to be helped by Russian online bots on the web, and whose financial connections with pro-Russian Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs, and with supposed Russian hackers hacking the Democratic Party sites and handing him documents by famous supposedly Romanian hackers like Guccifer 2.0, long rumored to be Russian. 

Websites like Alex Jones' InfoWars are going crazy on Assange promises, it must be a heaven for “conspiromaniacs”, one that Assange is not planning to let down, as he is now running a sensationalistic rumor that Hillary wants him killed on a drone attack, a false rumor that propagandistic websites like RT, Sputnik, Breibart and Regeneración have been glad to spread, false form the beginning considering that drone attacks are not commonly done in urban areas, but Assange will remain alive as long as he keeps being a useful idiot, he is just a percussion tool to hit the USA in favor of foreign totalitarian powers, he will be used to damage Clinton's campaign, thus helping Donald Trump win the elections (if Trump doesn’t defeat himself), Assange might not die by a drone strike, but he should be careful, once he is not useful for his current employers, he might be receiving, a pizza, drone delivered with extra cheese and extra polonium 210.
