Democracy Is a Bitch

Democracy is a little bitch, yes, that’s the truth, at least here in the land of the Aztecs and the Mayans, we have political parties that go without word, they simply cheat, make negotiations on shadows, and when their rivals do the same, they cry foul out loud, as if honor and honesty weren’t a part of our DNA, and this my friends is a big problem in our culture, that no matter what system you try to adapt form ultra developed counties like Finland, is you wish, it ends sinking even our best wishes and hopes.  

We have the power-hungry wolves of the PRI “the once perfect dictatorship” lives on, and they are making alternate alliances with the PAN and the PRD, the supposed opposition, in order to get an advance on their proposals, using power shares as a bait to convince their supposed political opponents, in the reality, all political parties are the same, they don’t care for the people, they care for themselves, they don’t represent the people, they don’t represent society’s will, they are looking for their own benefits, something in a country without real values, philosophies or religious doctrine, is impossible to fight against, we need strong moral to face and re built our country, otherwise anyone with bright ideas reaching the power will inevitably fall victim of the power of corruption, that’s why drug cartels grow so big, at a rate impossible to stop them, because they know how to corrupt authorities, that’s their biggest power, and our biggest fault that leave us defenseless against crime.

Sad thing is that opposition has sold their soul to power, PAN or PRD they are basically the same, their principles and values were exchanged for money and power, people who are in the high ranks of the government without a doubt will be tomorrow tycoons, and not by honest effort, but by cheating, stealing and corrupting the system, all this while the poor gets poorer.

We are tired of arguing about a way to change México, to re built it for better, but the big problem lies on our system of values, in our lack of true character, and on the loose principles of religion, we have forgotten to be afraid of god and of divine justice, and that is a big mistake, because that make us easy victims of evil.

When PAN was in power little more than a year ago, PRI and PRD formed an alliance to oppose every step forward taken by the PAN, thus, using majority to stop reforms and stagnating the country progress, they heavily criticized security strategies and debilitated the power in the states and city in order to make central government look real bad, in their campaign, they assured they had the answer to stop criminals and that the solution would take them months in order to be resolved, more than a year later, there is no solution, the media has been silenced, but violence in the streets is still present, and the reforms stopped by the PRI and the PRD, are now used as “new proposals for the progress of the country”, why didn’t they approved them years ago, when the PAN issued them? Politics is our big cancer, one that most be cured form within, not with violent revolutions, because as I said, any new government established will lack moral strength to face corruption, we need, just like a one does with the muscles, to start exercising our moral, our character in order to build better citizens, it is going to cost us a lot, because we are accustomed to cheating, but we have to start building a code of high honor, just like the Japanese, strong working habits, just like the Americans, appreciating the values of austerity, just like the Germans, a sense of collectivity, like the Chinese, we need to open your eyes and learn the best, form the best, and stop pulling back those who succeed in an honest way, we need a big revolution, but an internal one, a personal one, a moral one, and that’s the only way, we are going to be able to turn the tables and really have control of our future for the best.
