Phantom Menace as a Reality Show

An historical
analysis I always liked to go back to because of its relevance, is that of the
Russian and Mexican Revolutions at the start of last century, both were
supposed social movements which apparently tried to throw down an abusive
regime in order to bring forward a more democratic and fair one, but what really happened was
that a certain elite kidnapped the movement, annihilated the initial
revolutionaries and used the movement for its own purposes and interests (this
holds true to almost every so called "revolution" like the one in
Cuba), call it the Communist Party of Soviet Union (CPSU), or call it the
Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), in the end, both political parties
supposedly represented the "dictatorship of the masses", a better life
for the workers or peasants, but they were truly the dictatorship of a few,
these dictatorship lasted almost 7 decades, in the case of the CPSU, it
collapsed due to the high costs of an arm race, its bureaucracy, compromised
civil rights, low oil prices and an obsolete economy, in the case of the PRI,
it evolved and slowly started to simulate a democratic system, and then things
got complex, external and internal forces played a major role, and it collapsed
too, but managed to come back 12 years later.
In the case of
Russia, as the system was about to collapse after 1989, the KGB assumed the
mission of hiding big quantities of money owned by the elites o the CPSU, who were getting ready for what seemed
to be a temporarily turmoil, the money was transferred to fiscal havens like
the ones recently unveiled in Panama, waiting for the comeback either via a
couple or via democracy, but the coup failed and the CPSU was outlawed first and
then it mutated into the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF),
which somehow gathered some following before Putin grabbed the power and never
let it go, Putin an ex KGB knew about the hidden money plot, and slowly
transformed Russia into a plutocracy with his former KGB connected accolades
becoming a new "breed" of oligarchs loyal to the Kremlin that
replaced people like Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Boris Berezovsky among others who
were critical to the Kremlin.
First it was revealed
as a cyber-attack that stole retain information on Trump from the Democratic
Party servers, then, a few days ago, it was again a hacker who entered the same
servers and hand certain information to the WikiLeaks site, the information revealed
that within the Democratic Party there was a big preference and favoritism
towards Hillary Clinton above the other candidate Bernie Sanders, at the
Democratic Convention, even Sanders align with Clinton, but the information
leak was a big factor perfectly timed in order to create division within the
Democrats, to a certain point it worked, Guccifer2, supposedly a Romanian famous hacker was accused of performing the hacking,
now Guccifer2 is even accused of being Russian rather than Romanian, a fact
that we may never now, now that USA security agencies are looking for
responsible of the hack, certain clues leads to the east, and starts to unveil
curious facts.
First it was the
fact that Russia looks now more than ever interested in becoming an agent of
influence all over the world, now it’s not only Ukraine, the middle east, the
UK or Central Europe, as we have seen reports informing of the Kremlin
financial prescience behind parties like the UKIP in the UK, the National Front
in France, Jobbik in Hungary and Golden Dawn in Greece, considering that former
Viktor Yanukovych (the pro Kremlin former prime minister in Ukraine)
collaborator Paul Manafort is serving as chairman to Donald Trump campaign,
his foreign policy adviser Micahel Flynn is a close man to Vladimir Putin, and another one of his advisers, Carter Page´s close ties to Russian energy giant Gazprom, all these can´t be more than just a mere casualty, like in Tetris, pieces just start
appearing by themselves and you only have to turn them a little, reality once
again seems able to surpass even out wildest dreams, now this might hint at us
the real reason why Trump doesn't want to make public his accounts, or his
business loans by foreign banks be scrutinized.
Now this Gordian
knot seems to be getting even more confusing considering the presence of
Guccifer2, Assange's WikiLeaks, Chelsea Manning, Hillary Clinton, Edward
Snowden the Kremlin and the NSA, even Donald Trump declaring his intention if
dismantling NATO is a step towards a territory that would make Vladimir Putin
very proud and anxious on his desire of tearing apart the European Union, along
with the terrorist threat, the rise of Putinism is becoming a shadow menace
that might be starting to become slowly unbearable to the former Soviet
republics who found refuge in NATO from the Russian menace, a possible Russian
military intrusion into any former
Soviet republic might be a sign that Putin and his ambition to re ensemble a
new union leaning to the ultra-right populism is not just my imagination, some may call this
a "Mexican standoff" and yes, it looks like it, if WikiLeaks servers weren’t
penetrated by Russian hackers, then how does the info came out? Who is Assange
playing for? Is he really holding more info against the Democrats? Against
Clinton? Is this some sort of revenge for Manning or Snowden? Does Putin´s
represent the good guys? Assange and all these hacker guys seem to be looking
for a way to create a counter weight top the USA, looking for a Cold War era
sort of tense balance or equilibrium, it gives them some kind of sense, I guess…
