Ho99o9 Shattered the Silence in 2025

Tomorrow We Escape was my favorite album of 2025. Ho99o9 is not just another band. It’s a collective capable of quantum leaps between hip hop, punk, and industrial music. Tomorrow We Escape is their third record and, even though I know their previous albums, this is the one where Ho99o9 seems to have decided to leave the underground behind and position themselves as one of the most innovative and disruptive bands of today.

Tracks like “Escape” are a straight-up unleashed tornado in our faces: punk energy delivered through a devastating digital storm. “Target Practice” steps back into something more tribal, yet no less menacing. Here the band unleashes their high caliber, highly explosive hip hop, a volatile mix they use to fire devastating critiques at racism and repression.

“Ok I’m Reloaded” is a brutal track designed to blow out the speakers of any sound system: a sonic assault that instantly recalls the best moments of bands like Ministry. “Psychic Jumper” offers another breather, diving into the most abrasive side of hip hop and R&B, while “Incline” is probably the best rap punk industrial song of the year.

“Upside Down” is pure density that could make Trent Reznor’s most stunning productions jealous. “Tapeworm” is likely the heaviest, most abrasive track that neither Ministry nor Nine Inch Nails would dare to make. “LA Riots” and “Godflesh” close the album in completely astonishing fashion: sonic violence with no limits, attacking head on, mercilessly and without fear.

Ho99o9 have created a new form of sonic aggression that demands to be heard. While some are still desperately searching for relevance and rebellion in Deafheaven, Deftones, or Turnstile, for me, Ho99o9 with Tomorrow We Escape made the most radical and subversive album of 2025.
