Mexican Spring could turn into Long Cold Winter Soon thanks to a Trojan horse

I refuse to think that the recent triumph in Nuevo Leon of supposedly "independent" candidate Jaime Rodriguez was a matter of "citizen power", people were simple manipulated into it, make them thinking that the will of majority was purely decided by citizen and not an obscure force lurking in the shadows,  as a pure independent candidate in reality anyone had very little chance of winning, unless the candidate war really money backed just the way ordinary politicians are backed in their campaigns by private investors, oligarchs and in the worst cases organized crime, believe that the triumph of Rodriguez is a “triumph of democracy”, or a “new revolution” is the kind of stuff that only a 4 year old kid would believe.

In reality Rodriguez was heavily supported by the powerful Nuevo Leon private investors, angry by the actual government corruption regime, where power was concentrated in just a few relatives of the governor Rodrigo Medina, Rodriguez profile looks just like that of volatile populist Andres Manuel Lopez, perhaps hiding a socialist agenda that was toned down by his investors imposition: Fernando Elizondo, who will serve as Rodriguez administrator, time will tell if the private investors behind Rodriguez will be able to keep their grip on Rodriguez or if he will reveal his true nature and betray those who helped him achieve power.

You can't really think of Rodriguez as an "independent" candidate given the fact that he spent 33 years as a part of the official party (PRI), with just less than 8 months since he resigned from it in order to look for the candidature, making it impossible to think that in less than a year a man can "purify" himself from the party ideology and modus operandi he followed for a whole life, I see Rodriguez as a big opportunist, power obsessed man who manipulated certain events in his life in order to used them as lever to start his career as "independent" and becoming that, just because he had no political future in his former party, otherwise he would have obviously stayed, I also see Rodriguez as a Trojan Horse serving many occult purposes such as becoming a new branch of the PRI, serving other politicians interest within the party, becoming a manipulated candidate for the private investors in Nuevo Leon, being imposed by them, not by pure citizen vote, the character of "El Bronco" as Rodriguez is known was the creation of Guillermo Renteria, a man who has made a career out of making huge media campaigns with populists overtones for politicians in Mexico.

In the end "El Bronco" is not so far removed from Vicente Fox and Andres Manuel Lopez, populists from the right and left respectively who aim their efforts to exploit people's feelings of anger and resentment towards the political status quo in the country, making vague and unreal promises of quick solutions to the state's social issues, "El Bronco" future might not be too far removed from the fate of Greek populist Alexis Tsipras, a man who achieved power through the cruel exploitation of people feelings towards austerity imposed by the UE in Greece and who now seem trapped under the weight of all his promises, let’s not forget that Tsipras was heavily backed by the radical left and neo Nazis, an indicator that violence may not be too far to appear in Greece future.

Is laughable that Rodriguez announced his arrival as a sort of “Mexican Spring”, in the spirit of the infamous world known Arab Spring, Rodriguez might be plain ignorant in using terms he is not really familiar of, or perhaps being dictated at him by his investors, but people are not, the so called Arab Spring was manipulated by outside forces in places like Egypt, Iraq and Libya, it would be interesting for people to revisit the contemporary history of this countries and how the so called “springs” ended, with Egypt going from dictatorship to dictatorship and Iraq and Libya existing as countries just by name, as chaos and anarchy became the norm and let radicals like the Islamic State grow and became stronger than ever.

We must be careful and observe with detail Rodriguez movements, as his “Mexican Spring” could turn into a “Mexican Winter” at any time and that is not a good thing any way you see it.
