Personally I think this is the end, Mexico's actual government with Enrique Peña Nieto is a government of image above substance, it has spent millions and millions of pesos in building an image of stability and legality to the world, it attempted to quickly make up a strong image of legality when teacher's union corrupt leader Elba Esther Gordillo was put in jail, it was a media show that quickly overshadowed EPN party, the infamous PRI's other equally corrupt affiliates, Pemex workers´ union leader the disastrous Carlos Romero Deschamps or EPN own political godfather the corrupt Arturo Montiel (who escaped top France), in order to follow the media agenda, two other awful characters were put in jail, Joaquin Guzman Loera aka “El Chapo” Guzman, and Servando Gomez aka “La Tuta”, the two biggest kingpins alive in the country, many thought wrongly that the imprisonment of Elba Esther meant that the beginning of a new era in Mexican education,  also that the imprisonment of “El Chapo” and “La Tuta” meant the end of the so called "drug wars", that caused many missing individuals and deaths in the country (most of them shall I say were criminals), but the violence didn't stop there, it even escalated more and gave way to the apparition of new criminal organizations as the current government keeps applying the same approach that was so criticized to the former government by the PAN party.

But images are not as solid as proper actions and this weekend the big news was the escape of “El Chapo” from one of Mexico's most trusted maximum security prison, two versions are being commented about the escape, one, the construction of an amazing 1.5 kilometers tunnel that went from an outside warehouse right to the prison showers, the second one, that “El Chapo” simply walked out by the door ( just as the last time he escaped), this goes beyond shame and is a big, inevitable sign that something is going really wrong in the Mexican government, politics and all, you can simply lost public enemy number one this way, this is the most humiliating joke ever played to this country's authority, simply reaffirming that they are completely defenseless against crime, What guarantees can you give to Mexican citizens and foreign investors that this is a safe place to live and to invest, that Mexico is a strong state and nation? This is simply the deadliest blow our country's government has received on it´s almost four year run, one of too many, but the biggest one.

Sadly EPN government always like to bet on indifference and oblivion, but I think this time things have simply gone too far, too far for Mexican people and too far for Mexico's image towards the world, EPN government has failed miserably this time and the biggest demand ever, the resignation of the president makes more sense than ever, while the country is full of shame in this matter, Peña Nieto is receiving a medal in France, again, trying to build a superficial image of prosperity, congruence is dead in Mexico.
