Is it an Error to be with López Obrador?
Is it an
Error to be with López Obrador?

One day,
President López said, "UNAM has to do more with less," and the next
day he changed his mind, recalling that reducing the budget of the UNAM had
been "an error", and yes, it was, one of those that you commit in
elementary school because you do not know, and you are learning (however let's
not forget how ex Foreign Relations Minister Luis Videgaray was heavily criticized
when he pointed out that he "came to learn"), but this was not just
an "error", it was a big mistake, reduce the budget of the maximum
house of studies in the country, is not something to take lightly, and it is
worrying, it is a sign of carelessness or inexperience, if it is a mistake with
bad intention, compromising the development and growth of your alma mater
sounds like the frontal attack that Viktor Orbán carried out in Hungary,
against the University in which he studied thanks to a scholarship financed by
the NGOs of George Soros, it sounds like the ingratitude of Benito Juárez
undertaking against the religious thanks to those who had educated In order to
get ahead, it sounds like you disapprove of the good operation of the Mexican
university with greater recognition worldwide, it sounds like the dream of
building a massively indoctrinated education is more important than that of
higher education that emancipate the human being , it sounds like it is more
important to keep young students under control than to give them knowledge and
autonomy, it sounds like instead of promoting UNAM and the arrival of foreign
universities that could raise the quality of education, a huge clientelist network
will be built of students as has already happened with the UACM, financed by
the Lopez government in Mexico City, where Enrique Dussel was rector and where
little improvement at the educational level has been generated, except to grow
the student network that only they will find employment opportunities in the
bureaucracy, poorly paid for sure.
A loud
applause to Lopez that rectified in his error, a strong call for attention
because of the seriousness of his error, a round of applause to civil society
that pointed out the error that López's team did not see at the beginning,
there are many more that have been committed in such a young administration,
such as the cancellation of the Texcoco Airport based on a popular consultation
instead of an opinion, the centralization of the health sector and education as
is done in Cuba and Venezuela, allocate more resources to the militarization of
the country and decree an increase of the minimum wage without the support of a
growth in the productivity of the country, reduce budget to the fund of natural
disasters, considering the vulnerability of the country before hurricanes and
earthquakes, and the reduction of budget to the institutions dedicated to fight
corruption , we must continue thinking critically and raising our voices so
that the new government continues to recognize its mistakes and rectify the
current to autonomous institutions, to the division of powers, to the reduction
of support for entrepreneurs, to the reduction of the budget for the
agricultural sector, to the reduction of budget for culture, to the attack
against the sovereignty of States, more mistakes less mistakes that have
happened quickly in the new and inexperienced government that seems to pretend
to execute an acrobatics to justify its blunders, "the government that
recognizes its mistakes", I applaud it, as long as there are many,
remember how they criticized those who "They came to learn", remember
that opportunities are not given away, earned, and earned by the fittest or the
most dedicated, otherwise we undermine meritocracy and exalt clientelism.
An applause
to Lopez's generosity to rectify his mistakes, hopefully rectify the others
that are being committed and hopefully his followers will follow his example
and also learn to be equally generous to admit their mistakes, that no one is
infallible and that this helps us to grow as a society and as a country, more
critical, more demanding, more open and more generous in recognizing our
mistakes.
