I´m Your Boogeyman
I´m Your Boogeyman
“Your religion assumes
that people are children and need a boogeyman so they'll behave. You want
people to believe in God so they'll obey the law. That's the only means that
occurs to you: a strict secular police force, and the threat of punishment by
an all-seeing God for whatever the police overlook. You sell human beings
short."

Does Donald
Trump really thinks he can become president of the United States of America? I
don't think so and I really don't see it coming, unless the "architects of
fear" set the terror machine in motion and we get another September 11.
So what's
really the purpose of the intense and bizarre campaign by Trump? I don't know
for sure, but we shall analyze who is really getting the benefits of Trump's
lunatic race, Want a clue? Look at Mexico's last presidential campaign for some
interesting answers.
The PRD,
Mexico's major left wing political party had its origins within the PRI,
Mexico's dinosaur "center" political party that ruled the country for
70 years, the PT, once the country's second left wing political force was also
formed with a suspicious help from the PRI lead government.
In the year
2000, the PRI was defeated by the PAN presidential candidate Vicente Fox, but
neither Fox, nor his successor, Felipe Calderon were able to fully impact
society with their macroeconomic advance, So how was the PRI able to return to
the presidency after 12 years absence? They took advance of the PAN's failure,
blame it on lack of experience or corruption quickly permeating the political
party, that and the PRI strategic association with Televisa, Mexico's biggest
player in the telecommunications sector, as they orchestrated a campaign that
amplified every misstep by the PAN.
But fear,
rather than anger, is better at moving the masses, so this nation's boogeyman
was brought again into the picture and Andres Manuel Lopez backed this time by
the PRD and the PT launched him as a presidential candidate, the damaged image
of the PAN and the fear of the radical almost cartoonish Andres Manuel Lopez
were powerful factors enough to help a mediocre candidate like Enrique Peña
Nieto win the elections with ease, people were angry with the PAN for not
pushing the change agenda hard enough and were also afraid of Andres Manuel
Lopez radical agenda, too close to the Hugo Chavez populist rhetoric in
Venezuela.
It seems
that intentionally or unintentionally the U.S. Government and the Democratic
Party are taking full advantage of the American boogeyman personified by Trump,
in a strategy too closely connected to what happened in Mexico.
So again we
are used as a lab for U.S. politics, first, when the senate lead mostly by the
Republicans blocked Obama's initiatives just the same way the PRI blocked the
PAN's almost six years ago, and now the governments creates its own boogeyman
to drive the voters away from Republicans, but let’s not forget that fear is
powerful and that the architects could have an ace hidden under their sleeves.
It gets a
little heavy on the conspiracy aide of the story, we can get a little paranoid
on this, we used to have the USSR, Bin Laden, and now the world has the Islamic
State, populists in Europe have the migrants, and even the Democrats have their
own boogeyman within in the person of Bernie Sanders, and let's not forget that
Russia for example has used Vladimir Zhirinovsky as a beach head for radical
thoughts, Is the U.S. really using Trump to test radical thoughts within its
society? It could be, everyone has its own boogeyman, after all, it makes us
look better.
