The Dictatorship of Capital
The Dictatorship of Capital

another.”

It’s really
fun to hear U.S. senator Marco Rubio describing Obama's government as
"left wing", Really? Can you really tell that Obama's government in
the U.S. is a left wing government? Do you really believe that the U.S. is a
socialist utopic dream? I don't really think so, as we know the U.S. is the
official realm of capitalism, a dictatorship of the capital, and that's
precisely what gives them the edge, either if you vote for the Democratic Party
or for the Republican Party, corporations (oil and pharmaceutical mainly) the
real power behind both political parties and the ones really taking the
decisions that matter.
The truth
is that both North American political parties are pretty much the same, a cover
for a big corporate machine leading the country, democracies move slow, and
that the reason the U.S. moves fast, because it's a stable place, either if you
vote for Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Bernie Sanders or even Donald Trump, in the
end, the results in the U.S. will pretty much be the same, corporations rule,
and that's why investors are so happy with their money there.
In Mexico,
unfortunately we are learning a lot from the U.S., as the political figure
known as "independent candidates" are starting to become the way for
corporations to begin taking the power away from political parties and placing
it in the hands of the big capitals.
Can you
tell if Jaime Rodriguez, independent candidate and now Nuevo Leon, Mexico,
recently elected governor is left, center or right wing? The truth is that it
is too hard to tell, as Jaime appealed to the low and middle class, denouncing
power elites and vowing to end poverty, which sounds very left wing to me,
although in reality he is merely a populist, the truth is that corporate power
is behind Rodriguez and it will become a common strategy for corporations to
back its candidates in the future.
In the U.S.
there is some social pressure from once minorities now gaining more power and
presence such as the Latin population, for years now Latinos have been more
inclined toward the democratic party in the U.S., Trump was nothing more than a
wild experiment, something that should not be, and that his appearance in SNL
might end up defining his true nature as a sick joke, but is Rubio the definite
big bet from the GOP, as Rubio represents a marketing gimmick in order to reach
that Latino vote.
Hillary or
Rubio could be the next president in the U.S., the truth us that powerful
monsters like the oil and pharmaceutical industries are behind them in one way
or another, with the military industry as another power that be, so forget
about seeing the end of violent incursions in the Middle East, hyper expensive
medical costs or shootings in schools, either democrats or Republicans, you
know who really wins.
