The mid-term voting in the US, in process today, is a historic opportunity for the opposition to reverse the enormous damage to the country that Donald Trump has infringed, it is a window of opportunity awaited, but I cannot ensure that the opposition is in the right way to strike the right blow to the Republican government and its two houses (Senate and House), on the one hand we have seen the leadership it has developed with people like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who has managed to take baton of Senator Bernie Sanders in what could be a rectification of the last internal election within the Democratic Party, which favored Hillary Clinton, leader of a current closer to the center and that controversially left on the way to Sanders, leader of a current further away from the center, Ocasio Cortez has emerged as one of the leaders of the party, becoming an interesting relay to people like Nancy Pelosi or Elizabeth Warren, who have not been able to "reinvent" the Party properly in order to arrive solid at this moment, a moment when the Party should arrive with a force that leaves no room for doubt and that the average voter could consider a historic opportunity to reverse a big mistake.

Not only Ocasio Cortez has grown to the occasion, we have also seen a singular character like Beto O Rourke facing Ted Cruz in Texas, O Rourke is like Ocasio Cortez, an interesting guideline within the match, a sample of what it could mean the diversity of currents happening and that they have not been able to refine and focus, on the one hand an Alexandria wielding strong the banner of democratic socialism, which seems to find great echo in the younger population, despite not being captured 100% by the Democrat, and Beto or Rourke that without donning a "socialist" banner, represents a liberal side, less close to traditional politics, distancing itself from a dogmatism or fanaticism and becoming a particular character that could be the guideline to where the Democrat could move to reverse the current Republican domain.

Today, the neighbors of the North will vote for options that seem difficult, against Trump, or against what the Democrat has not been able to stop being, the vote in favor of the Democrat will not be, because this party has arrived with the best proposals and the best candidates, but because they are the lesser evil, the opportunity to reverse part of the damage that Trump has caused in the national and global dynamics, the vote in favor of Trump, involves taking a shot in the foot, continue to punish the Democratic Party for its inability to focus and propose different and coherent ideas, it is a moment of conjuncture that will involve responsibility with its respective consequences, or a greater abandonment to the reign of anger and irrationality that seems to have taken over politics and the society on a global scale.

Today, whether or not voting for Trump, today, the experience of Russian intervention should not be a surprise, today, we already know what Trump is capable of, and that his rhetoric did not change, as many pointed out, once he arrived to the presidency, today we know how much has affected us as a country, speaking of Mexico, the arrival of Trump, today we know, that for the northern neighbors, if not correct, the damage could be irreversible, today it is not a question of voting for the Democrat, today is about voting for democracy, for diversity, for the non-concentration of power in order to abandon ourselves to those nationalist proposals that have generally resulted in a greater damage to the global dynamic, to keep in mind that the Trump's populist nationalism is not the answer to the big problems, not the US, Mexico or Europe, it is not the answer to the problems that really affect the whole planet, the technological disruption, the climate change and the nuclear threat, for those, the main problems of the human being today, Trump does not have the solution, he has been given all the power not for his virtues as ruler, but for a rejection of the previous administration, but we must not forget, that sink the ship in which we are not salvation, not if the coast is still far away, not if we know that without the ship we will not survive.
