Make The Old PRI Great Again

Caprine Dispersion

Much of the political "platform" of the Morena party, heading for the elections of 2018 was to "anchor" the origin of the rejection of the current political regime in a specific period of time, from 1982, until the present year, in which Morena, and particularly its leader, Andrés López denounced the "looting" of the country carried out by the so-called "neoliberalist" regime, in the first place, and to speak of a "neoliberalism" would disqualify anyone seriously, considering that in case of existing, "neoliberalism" has not been applied in its total form in any country, unlike the typical "joke" of the left that defends the failure of communism and socialism, affirming that experiments such as the USSR, or China, when they have failed is because it was not true "communism" or "socialism", we can point out here that many of those who were involved in these two failures that resulted in death of millions of people, from the first moment they defined themselves as "communists" or "Socialists", unlike those supposed "neoliberal" paradises, in which to this day, nobody has defined themselves as "neoliberal", asks to the kind reader: "Do you know any character that has defined itself as neoliberal?", the obvious answer is no, and that is just because "neoliberalism" is nothing but a simplistic label on the part of the idolaters of the omnipresent State , against those who attempt against it, for the simple act of demonizing them.

Now, the recent appointment of Manuel Bartlett as Secretary of the Federal Electricity Commission, Bartlett, one of those "old PRIists" like Andrés López and Porfirio Muñoz Ledo (yes, the one who did not know that Chávez had arrived at the presidency of Venezuela by the vote, or who applauded ex-president Diaz Ordaz violent repression against students in 1968) that were present at the time when the internal "left wing" of the PRI, was displaced by the right wing, causing a rupture and the subsequent formation of the PRD, the small, great detail here, is that Bartlett , who had already been Secretary of the Interior under the command of Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado, first president accused of "dismantling the State" and having alleged "neoliberal" tendencies, did not abandon the PRI in 1988, such as Muñoz Ledo, Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas or Andrés López, no, Bartlett was present in that year and was one of the main instruments, as organizer of that year's elections, of Carlos Salinas's triumph (in what many consider a fraud gestated against Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas with the now classic "The system fell" phrase), pointed out by Morena and its fans, as the defining agent in the "neoliberal" processes in the country, under the command of Salinas de Gortari, Bartlett served as Secretary of Education, if Bartlett had something against the "right wing" displacing the left wing inside the PRI, or the arrival of the supposed "Power Mafia" (another simplistic reduction for electoral purposes), this does not was revealed and Bartlett continued not only to operate for the PRI, but under the command of CSG, several dark chapters of disappearances of journalists, negotiations with the narco, etc, would be linked to the name of Bartlett, not only that, in the year of 1992, Bartlett was nominated by the PRI as a candidate for the Government of Puebla, an election he would win, to subsequently promote Mario Marín Torres, yes, the so-called "Gober Precioso" and his turbid history involving corruption and child abuse, where was Bartlett when the "infamous" FOBAPROA was established? Still in the PRI.

The connection with Lopez would really begin until 2006, in which it was obvious that the PRI had already been defeated and its return to power was complicated, then it was when Bartlett, a native of Tabasco, son of governor of that state, would give his support to the native of Tabasco , Andrés López, "washing" ALL his faults and becoming a "defender" at all costs of the "national sovereignty", Bartlett now with the Labor Party, of suspicious "Salinistas" origins and of doubtful democratic vocation, would become a bishop of Lopez, position that would give him again a public position, at the head of a monopoly of the State with absolute power to generate countless amount of juicy contracts, in a world that demands globalization, free markets, competitiveness, a state monopoly run by an old “statist dinosaur” is very sad news.

With Bartlett it is crystal clear that it is not the "historical left" that has come to power (the appointment of the former PAN national president, Germán Martínez Cázares to lead the IMSS, is another proof of this, curiously both Bartlett and Martínez have been accused of executing electoral frauds in 1988 and in 2006 respectively), Bartlett has never been a leftist character, nor was he one against the "rebase" of the right wing in 1988, or that was against the events of 1968 , Bartlett left the PRI only until he was sure that the return of the party to power, and his opportunities there were exhausted, and with a keen political sense, that no doubt, he saw the "regeneration" of the "old PRI "In Morena, the restoration of that hegemonic and authoritarian power, which does not hesitate to hide its idolatry towards the almighty State, the appointment of Bartlett in charge of the CFE is not a matter of pride, but of shame for the restoration of a regime, the worst of it by democratic means, never the old PRI of the dinosaurs was as alive as today.
