The Revolution Betrayed?
The
Revolution Betrayed?

The triumph
of Alexis Tsipras and his coalition of radical left-wing parties known as
Syriza in Greece almost three years ago, filled the European left with hope,
which seemed more inspired at that time by the Socialism of the 21st Century
and Chavismo (very influenced by Peronist Populism and the Authoritarian and Militarist
Castrism), that by the old school of Marx and Engels, characters related to
these "radical" tendencies like Pablo Iglesias, of the Spanish
Podemos (once paid advisers of Chavista Venezuela), Jeremy Corbyn, a radical
member of the English Labor Party and Jean Luc Mélenchon, a French Socialist
member of the National Assembly of that country, and even recognized figures of
the world economy such as Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz or left-wing
intellectuals such as Noam Chomsky or Naomi Klein (He even received a
publicized "twit" from the then famous Dr. House, Hugh Laurie,
congratulating him), they threw euphoric praises for the triumph of what
appeared to be a radical leftist advance aimed at destroying the
"neoliberalist status quo" in Europe, the ghost of
"neoliberalism" seemed to tremble before the arrival of the young
minister Tsipras, the shake of the political system was understood more as a
welcome to the left that as a vote of punishment to the traditional parties,
the options of right and left near the center lost their popular strength, and
that space was simply filled by a figure alien to it that promised to be
something different, time, always the best and most implacable judge showed us
the opposite, first the political barbarities of Syriza, which included a
coalition with parties almost unpresentable (by their neo-Nazi affiliations) of
extreme right (or far right) as "Golden Dawn", in second place the
purge of "key" characters in their rise, such as the intellectual-economist
Yanis Varoufakis, the hope represented by Tsipras became disillusion very
quickly, the mask fell apart, and the great man of "clash of the
left" made it clear that he was not only a lousy negotiator (accepting conditions
worse than that originally had Greece with respect to the European Union, and
after a referendum, the favorite tool of the populist, in which the people
voted not to accept the imposed conditions.), also demonstrated that far from
being a revolutionary style " Che Guevara, "was nothing more than a
young professional politician, and quickly aligned himself with the globalist
dynamics he allegedly denounced in his campaign, the wave of disqualifications
was swift, quickly characters like Mélenchon and Stiglitz denounced the"
betrayal "and they separated from Tsipras, so that there is
disappointment, they will always require delusions.
A few days
ago Andrés López's triumph was decreed (one of his sons, as well as one of
Alexis Tsipras, are called "Ernesto", in honor of Ernesto
"Che" Guevara) and his coalition of parties in Mexico, Morena and his
collaborators, the Partido del Trabajo, supposedly a leftist party with a
clientelist tradition that has its origins both in movements of social
exploitation such as Tierra y Libertad and Salinismo (which should have lost
its registration just over a year ago, but was dubiously rescued by the ruling
party), with leaders who for almost two decades have remained almost
dictatorial in front of the body, echoing their admired Fidel Castro and Kim
Jong Un, who have sent greetings with public admiration again and again, and
the Partido Encuentro Social, a party of evangelical origins and the most
conservative part of the PRI (with just under a year in coalition), related to
the ultra-right and movements such as the National Front for the Family (publicly
repudiated even by Morena members like Elena Poniatowska and Gerardo Fernández
Noroña, but ultimately submissive to the superior interests of their party),
Morena, more inspired by the old models of the Latin American retrograde left
as the populist, authoritarian PRI and corporatist of Lázaro Cárdenas (where
most of its members come from) and Argentine Peronism, inspired in turn by
Italian fascism (which seems to influence a nascent cult of personality in the
figure of Andrés López and his wife), that for the European social democracy of
an Edward Bernstein, characters related to these tendencies, and already
mentioned, such as Iglesias, Corbyn, Mélenchon, Krugman, Stiglitz and even
Chomsky (besides adding the former president of Ecuador Rafael Correa, to the
Bolivian president Evo Morales and former Argentine President Cristina
Fernández de Kirchner), they have also received euphorically, this new arrival
of the "left", This time to the continent, we should mention that it
did not reach here for a "twit" of Dr. House, but if for a video of
boxer Mike Tyson (wow? ¡? ¡?), Andrés arrives with the mission of facing the
advance of "neoliberalism", after having "defeated the
PRIAN", it is worth mentioning that a large part of that PRIAN that was
supposedly defeated was slowly transferred to the ranks of Morena, his party,
"strongly punished" the system and the parties traditional, although
it was voted copiously by Morena with almost 90% certainly of its candidates
out of precisely those traditional parties, several barbarities have already
been made by Morena, a mix of candidates of dubious reputation, with shadows of
accusations for crimes around them, television characters who were criticized for
"spreading ignorance to the people", and the aforementioned alliance
with the far right PES, all anathema to a movement supposedly liberal and
secular politician (Long live the incongruity!), the reconfiguration of its
original proposals as the so-called "perfect cabinet" has already
begun, with the integration of characters in charge of the security system, so
criticized by them in previous administrations, the integration of a traditional
politician of doubtful reputation (Marcelo Ebrard) as Secretary of Foreign
Relations, instead of the originally proposed Hector Vasconcelos, and the
possible replacement of Olga Sánchez Cordero, originally proposed to the
Ministry of the Interior, by Tatiana Clouthier, figure emanating from the PAN,
entry has already been announced the continuity to the inflationary adjustments
to gasoline (will not lower the price), to the negotiations for the Free Trade
Agreement (announced by the future Secretary of Finance Carlos Urzua, if it is
not written off before December , who also points out that the current
situation in the country is very good, contrary to what Morena reported for
almost six years s, now they say that a growth of 2% and an inflation of 5% is
good), to the appointment (little democratic and way, with zero independence)
on the part of the president of a general prosecutor (the case of the so-called
"carnal fiscal" ), the use of the army in the streets to control
organized crime), the contracts for the construction of the New Airport of
Mexico City and the Energy Reform, all of them points strongly criticized by
the previous administration, almost flags of the campaign Morena's policy and
today simply confirmed without major criticism (what seems basically a
continuation of the much-criticized, by Morena, of the government of outgoing
Enrique Peña Nieto, will it be that we are facing a continuation of the
previous supposedly "neoliberal" government and that in reality
Andrés López is not that revolutionary that many wanted to think he was and
that he is actually a politician as traditional as the old PRI he came from?
Will those disappointed voices of unfulfilled promises take long to point out
that the "revolution" has been betrayed? For there to be
disappointment, illusions will always be required. Will we have our Mexican
Tsipras? Will there be a Mexican chapter for "The Revolution
Betrayed" by Trotsky?
